Description
I saved my favorite for last. The MacCallum House is a Victorian house built in the “gingerbread” style, referring to its profusion of decorative sawn details. It is also known as the Carpenter style. Pattern books were used to create results that had a whimsical look.
Built in 1882 by town founder William Kelley as a wedding gift to his daughter Daisy on her marriage to local entrepreneur Alexander MacCallum.

I haven't been to Mendocino since 1984 and want to thank you for sharing this group of fantastic buildings. Very well done Mark. Dana

Easy to see why it's a favorite. It says lodging. Is it a Bed and Breakfast? That would be a great place to stay, and to explore Mendocino from. Though as pretty as it is, and with its history, it would not be in the bargain section of travel guides. Sigh. I love the wrap around porch! Lovely place and capture!
