Description
At last you can see the garden from the robin's POV! It's a typical Venetian walled garden, in the back of a 18th century building. These gardens are hidden from view: you can see them only from the sky. The main gate on the public street opens onto a space once used by coaches. The back door of this space opens onto the garden.
The robin's point of view is very interesting, in my opinion: the bird is relegated in the most hidden part of the back garden. The robin is a very common bird, humble, and its reddish patch isn't garish at all. Here it's made of polystyrene, and hence it's muted, frozen in time like in a suspended life. In my mind it's the humble, muted one, the one whose reasons few care about. The one whose voice has been suppressed.

That's the philosophy I based my teaching upon...focus on the ones usually ignored. The not too clever, the not outrageously behaved, the folk whose names no staff remember.

This is my fav too. The garden is beautiful. The robin looks very nice against the red of the building. It really looks like he is busy watching everything going on. Perhaps he knows what the lady in the dark doorway, with the pink thing over her head is doing. This has been a great series. Thanks!
