When the world ended and all was reborn, Talon set things in motion to repair the mistakes that this Multiverse had committed. In the end, that pivotal correction was one thing. When Emperor Kanagi Delos of the Kar’Kaine Dynasty set off his weapon and banished all fluxstone to another dimension, and then repented and created a device to restore the fluxstone to but one world, the Ashiri finally grew a pair. Rather than sit back and watch The Shadows manipulate the lesser races for the next 30,000 years, they acted. They struck at the Shadows and destroyed them. There were a few left, wandering the far reaches of the multiverse, or hiding in the miasma of insanity in The Beyond. But they were effectively broken.

From that point forward, Arrallon, and the rest of the galaxy, developed along their own lines. The Ashiri, seeing their job done, voluntarily exiled themselves, leaving only a few stewards behind to watch and make sure the Shadows didn’t stage a miraculous comeback. Without those external forces, many things changed for Arrallon.

Without The Shadows’ aid and guidance, Lolth didn’t have nearly the power She had once had. Talon himself, in this new multiverse, was born the son of Solonar, not the son of Lolth. The unending war between Atheae and the Symballan Empire was lessened. Rather than raze the desert for ten years and leave it blasted and useless at the end of their revolution against the First Empire, the Atheaens took control of the desert as a protectorate. Over the next eight thousand years, it stayed under Atheaen control, until voices in both kingdoms said it was time to relinquish control. Thus formed the Second Holy Symballan Empire.

Elleanorra Shimerlace, a bridge between warring nations in the old world, was born Ellaina Shimastra in the new world. Virginal, shy and devout in the old; she was aggressive, confident, flirtatious and commanding in the new. She was anything but virginal. Rather than an emissary caught on the wrong side of the front lines during a time of war, she became the magistrate of a Symballan district, one who was left behind when the Atheaens decided that continuing to control the vast desert of Symballa was no longer in their national interests. In the old world, she had become the wielder of the Silver Flame through happenstance and fate. In the new world, she wrested the power from the ancient temple by sheer force of will. Though she was a mystic in both multiverses; in the new world, she had been trained in the Church of Hecate and converted after years of living in the desert. In the old world, she had been known as Silverlace, a delicate and quiet, though towering, flower. In the new world, she was known by her title, Mistress of the Silver Phoenix, or Silverstar to her friends.
