BIO-HAZARD
Born in King's Cross,NSW Australia. My parent's were German and split up when I was 12 months old, unfortunately my Father died young, so what ! . I have liked drawing & painting for-ever. When I saw an Amiga 500 with a ray-traced juggler, I was hooked !!! I left High School then joined a Rock'n'Roll band and toured the East Coast of OZ as Road crew. Then I played Lead & Rhythm guitar in my own band's, EASTERN UNDERGROUND(Sydney), FLASHBACK (Noosa), SAXON DOG"S & STEEL RAIN (Gold Coast). I worked as a Cameraman at the Gold Coast Turf Club. And a lot of my "in-between" footage got beamed all over the Planet on Sky Channel, So if you're ever are in a TAB (betting agency Oz style) and see pic's of cloud's, pelican's or chick's tit's then you'll know, it was my footage !  I won a $5,000 scholarship for 3D Animation, at Silicon Studio's Training Center-Brisbane. Did a Multi-Media course at Kingscliff TAFE. Lightwave 8.5 is my choice of weapon, with Poser 6, Vue 6 Extreme and Zbrush 3. One day I will be doing 3D for a living...I hope ! You will find, that most of my art has a weird and twisted sense of humour to it, life's pretty straight without 'twisties' !Â
...Cheers fellow artists...Jeff :o)
UP-DATE:2011...WOOHOO...I made piccy of the day at E-on (Vue) and I'm stoked, my experimentation, persistance and learning new techniques paid off.

This reallly nice mate! Love it all turned out. Cheers!
npauling
He is a great looking character and I like how you have done his expression, he is probably wondering how he got into this situation and wishes he could go home. Excellent posing and lighting.
AlphaWolf007
Absolutely nothin, I'll say it again ya'll, Except this piece of artwork you created, and some really exceptional protest songs. Some really good stories. A few medical advancements. Well we know what they say about war. So let's talk about how cool your image looks. Because it's really that good.
chimera46
It's tough being a merc these days, ain't it? I like the POV here, his pose, and the overall war torn environment. That said, it would be a nice touch to see some of his weapons propped up near him.

as per the artists preference for comments- critical:where the Hades is his darn weapon? a soldier's weapon should never be more than an arm's reach. non-critical:he might have built in weaponry in that newfangled armor, so dang sweet work! tis chucks-n-grins chummer, no criticism here; very cool scene. i've actually been in his position. well done!
Lenord
Very cool stuff man, I think it's more the look most Soldiers get when they come to realize what they thought they were fighting for is all a Lie (been there done that, got the scars to prove it). Excellent work Jeff Peace

I agree with those who said great POV. I also like the setting - super buildings back there. The statement comes across very well IMO. Excellent work, as always!

This might be one of my favorite pieces that you've done to date. With everything that's going on in the world, this speaks volumes to those in harm's way and to those who have loved ones overseas. Being away from your family for such an extended period of time, as well as not knowing if today is going to be your last day, can really take it's toll on the human heart. You've captured that emotion perfectly here. Besides that, the POV, lighting, expression, texture and pose are all top notch and everything feeds into the emotion of the image. Kudos my friend!

Beautiful job!!! Shows what so many of our men really feel at no matter the country or the war.... Agree with 100% with Forevernyt

Fantastic rendering work!

Most excellent work! Hell, nothing wrong with a little downtime, some R&R.
blondeblurr
For some reason, this guy reminds me of Michael, the character from the T.V. show: 'Burn Notice'...all burned out and someone who just want's his life back! But I agree on the whole with everybody else, who doesn't like the war, the politicians like us to believe, we have to have. Great POV and atmosphere... Cheers BB
jenwencheng
You've captured the character's sentiment well -- great expression, pose. Awesome work!

Great scene Jeff, wonderful pov. Ah, the age old question, what is war good for. Nothing...it never solves anything. We just don't learn by our mistakes.
