Description

So a couple things about this image.....firstly, I was trying to make a new kind of atmosphere, different from my previous images, and I really like the way it came out except for the graininess at points in the sky....tried to get rid of it inside Vue, but then the clouds looked like crap....tried to photoshop it away, but that made it worse.....and rendering it at the highest settings I usually use was taking longer than even I could stand, so I'll have to re-render this when I had a better computer.... Anyway, the lifeforms are found normally in the distant east, on the continents of Amrokva and Ukarnun. Though they may seem dangerous, they're completely harmless, and their fleshy meat, though pungent, is considered a delicacy to many peoples in the region. Wealthy aristocrats from distant nations will pay exorbitant amounts to have it shipped great distances to be prepared at their courts....personally I'm not a big fan, but then again, I have simple tastes.... Thanks for looking!

They do look a bit like eastern dragons, just in a plantlike form. Perfect as always.

Very cool and unique image. They look fascinating, but I think I'll pass on this delicacy and settle for a good ole' hamburger.:o) CC

Very nice scene! Great plants as always. I see what you mean about the sky though. With complex renders in Bryce, I sometimes need to let them run for day or more to make them look decent.

Great creatures, but I will pass, too 'fuzzy' for my taste. I may be going blind, but I don't see any graininess, you want to see graininess you should see my skies. :o) Another creative and original scene

Always enjoy looking at your renders. To kill the grain, you can try bumping up the quality in the atmosphere settings (spectral atmospheres) to a higher number, and/or adding 4/9 AA sampling with quality at 100%. See if either of those don't help.

I do so love your mind! This is so fun, beautiful, weird and thought provoking! Of course, being me, I am wondering what part yields the "fleshy Parts".. just how pungent are we talking.. and how are they cooked?

Yeah, cool stuff. As Chipp said, make the quality settings in the atmosphere higher and the grain will be gone (I think).

Very good composition. The lifeforms look excellent, just in that border that you explore so well between fantasy, realism and surrealism. I really like how the pose of the lifeform on the right matches the cloud behind. Your light here is different from your usual (I personally prefer your usual but this one is good too). Very good work!
