Description
In the South Pacific in 1942 a pair of F4F Wildcats use the sun to surprise a flight of Zeros. Most pilots never saw the aircraft that shot them down.

yeah coming straight out of the sun must have been frightening for the enemy although mostley they never saw what hit them ,they must have had that special feeling.impressive work.

A real nice view of those wildcats bouncing the zero's Not sure how the outcome would have bee here, the zero's are beginning to scatter, so the wildcats have probably been spotted. And before you know it the wildcat-pilots may be the ones fighting for their lives... so hopefully they have paid attention when the tactics of how to fight a zero were explained ;)

And that's the way they used to try and hit them, on a hit and run strike, They didn't like a prolonged fight with a more agile plane. Excellent job!!!
