Description
Nah, not that kind of culture. I was 'culturing' an assortment of digital life forms in 3 different xenodream incubators. Two had been cooking all night, and one was a mid-day startup.
I kept checking all these neat forms that were appearing...they just didn't show well or completely in the preview. Forms would appear and I would plan to isolate them and culture pure colonies of them tonight.
Then, sitting idle between checking the cultures, and cooking an incongruous meal of mole negro and carrot cake in the kitchen, I sat before the computer and haplessly opened itunes.
In a blink the cursor is paralyzed. Ctrl/Alt/Delete is unresponsive. The hard drive indicator light is dark.
Call it. 9:46 p.m. All renders are lost.
A couple partial renders are all I have left, and I need the sympathy I know you all have for those who lose renders. Boo Hoo -- Do Over

Love your remnants Denise, but what a curse losing the bulk of your work. Can definitely sympathise -- am currently fighting my way through a whole series of virus-related bugs and glitches -- If you see a program out there on the Net called Internet Ant-virus, run for cover !!

Danise sorry for your loss it just sucks when That happens!! Just soldier on take it in your stride it happens to millions every day in some part of the world would'nt life be wonderful if you never had computer crashes !! Its hard to imagine I've been working with them since 1990 and I,ve lost years of work, you learn just to take it in your stride. When you look at the problems all around its really not all that bad!! being creative we always move on. We dont have the time to worry and get deeply upset. Just pick yourself up and dust yourself down and get on with act of creation. BTW this one is very unusua! it looks like literal baskets for realism! its pretty stunning!LOL!! keep on going!!

OH No Froze up pc.. sorry Dear! Yes I have lost a few after hours of rendering and not achieved much. Try try again just take a little break of something else first. And then go back unaggravated. I see spaceships and baskets and the star.. very nice image lost.

I am so very sorry that you lost so much...you feel helpless and frustrated that you can't just reach in and stop it happening. What a good thing this one was saved though. It's a truly amazing piece. Don't know what Itunes are/is but if I want to listen to music I use Spotify - a brilliant little free programme.
