Description
I haven't postworked this shot, i have used the spot meter on my D90 to get the correct exposure on the Deer as the early morning sunlight was filtering through the trees, hence the areas in shade appear almost black. However i liked the effect, and in any case the cameras idea of the correct exposure looked awful, as the Deer's white areas became overexposed due to it trying to get the right exposure for the surroundings.
Very tricky to get a good shot with the Deer so skittishly moving about all the time too.
Full size is worth a go.
Regards.. Shaun.
P.S. This was taken in Richmond park, near London.

Great pair of deer, they look quite healthy. Wonderful effect with the light.

Interesting shot! Beautiful animals. Wonder if these are descendents of the deer that used to belong to the kings...and only they were allowed to hunt them? If anyone else shot one of the king's deer, the punishment was death. Talk about STRICT hunting laws, LOL
