Description
Lynx spiders get their name from the way that they pounce on their prey in a catlike fashion. These spiders spend their time hunting for insects in flowers and bushes. They are fast runners, but mostly are seen lying in wait for prey. They build no web for prey capture, but they do release a silk dragline as they hunt. I think this one is a female as the males have a thinner body. I have visited her the last couple days in the same spot and cought her with a wasp yesterday, and today a bee.
