Hi All,
My name is Tracey and I live in Oxfordshire, England. I've been a keen photographer since I was able to prize my Dad's camera off him as a child, which wasn't easy IÂ can tell you, and the photos were rather blurred. If my memory serves me correctly he soon took it back! LOL
I've just invested in a digital SLR (heaven!) I had a compact digital camera but I always loved the memory of my old 35mm SLR. I'm having such fun with it, I hope you enjoy the photos I post from my learning curve!
Tracey

Nice shot, did you use a fill flash?
traceyjane
yes I had to use the flash, it was rather a dull day and the blackberry bush was in a shady spot.I tweeked the exposure and contrast a bit on the PC as well.

Lovely shot! When I lived in Oxfordshire and went on walks with the Rambler's Association, we somehow never made good time when the blackberry bushes were full of berries! :)

I don't particularly like blackberries but these look good enough to eat.

Very nice image. Interesting there's all stages on one branch. I like them any way I can get them, and they don't grow here.

Folk lore says don't eat them after Michaelmas (September 29) because the Devil then spits on them!!
traceyjane
I'd never heard that before, but I will remember it, sharing spit with the devil doesn't sound a good idea!!

The black bears get most of the berries here. Well captured
