Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Missed you my friend. Great to see you back. The "pause" posting was a great idea but I was checking daily and was getting nervous after so many days. Your Tornado was a perfect comeback. Enjoyed looking at all the clutter but the middle image was my winner although the finished version was a very close second. Again welcome back. Dana

Gruesome function? Super clarity, lighting effects and POVs in this collage of the beautiful Panavia Tornado GR1! This is an art form at its finest, my friend! Extremely happy you're back in the saddle again, Bill; hopefully enjoying a full recovery from your operation! You were sorely missed. In the meantime, I've held off posting any fotos of a military nature until you returned to Rendo. Now I can begin tossing my shooting stuff back into the mix.

Welcome back, Bill. Glad you're doing so well. Take it easy, now! These look great. The bottom one would make a nice retro poster. Still, I like the high tech look of the middle one.

Welcome back, Sir Bill! Please know that my lack of comments was strictly because I was offline for 2 weeks. I started catching up this weekend...It's so good to see you here again, and with another of your sterling plane montages. The first shot—the original—is sterling, just beautiful & filled with your inimitable sense museum lighting. You paint with the stuff. The second is pristine, and you do 'separation' so seamlessly, you're gonna have to give me lessons. And the third is another of your fine 'color area' versions, where you delineate the areas of color, light & shade very delicately. You stay true to the original too. It's a fine triptych, with a beautiful original to start with. I always zoom, but with shots like these it just blooms. And thanks for the info on the Tornado. Many of us know nothing about these things; it's always nice when you & a few others educate us. Welcome back! Take your time, heal & enjoy the warmth in knowing that your body is filling with light and getting whole. It's great that you got through this so splendidly. I wish you lots more healing, Bill. A beautiful return upload, my friend.
