Description

Not a very sharp focus because Tanner decided to jump on me as I took this:-) But I wanted to share because I grew the cosmos from seed. I was quite surprised that they made it at all, the groundhogs ate the tops off of most of them...the few that survived have very tiny flowers, this one about 1/2" across and the others that are coming in now are even smaller. The wind was blowing a little when I took this so I waited till it died down and was going to take some more of it...but just as I started out the door, Tanner arrived with my flower in his mouth, present for mom! Looks like I will have to put up some chicken wire for them to survive Tanner now...We wish you a happy and safe holiday weekend! An unrelated special thanks goes out to PJ! I have a bunch of tests set up over the next three weeks so am not sure how often I will be able to visit your galleries, I have been having major stomach problems for a couple years and have had every test for minor things, now they are looking at 'eliminating' the major ones. If you have a minute please say a prayer for me that these tests do eliminate what they are looking for:-) Thanks for looking and for previous comments and favs!

Glad you got them to grow, hope you can discover the trouble and overcome it. Cosmos are a pretty flower to add to any garden.

This is a wonderful capture Lynn and made even better knowing the story behind it involving little Tanner. Please give the guy a big hug from me and I'm sure he didn't mean to hurt the flowers. It was as you said he was bringing a gift for Mom, so that is all that matters. :)

Silly Tanner, wanting to help mom take a picture...lol Nice looking flower and it is all the more awesome that you got it to grow from seed, something special about a plant when we can do that. Great shot Lynn!

Awwww,....I hate when people don't feel well and there's not much I can do for them. You will most certainly be in our thoughts and prayers, and anything else I might be able to do for you! It would be nice to find out what the problem is and fix it, I think I'll pray for that too! I like Tanner's touch to this post, it's very pleasing and easy on the eyes, and such beautiful color! Take good care M'lady, please keep us posted when you can, we love you!

You will be in my thoughts as your tests get underway and I do hope they can find what is wrong. It is the not knowing which is the worry isn't it. Good luck. I too grow these from seed and they get knocked around from all sorts of things but they still survive, so I reckon even Tanner wont be able to destroy them.
