My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

we had a comic here when i was young...featuring a soccer player...called 'Roy of the Rovers' hence i cannot resist the temptation to say ...'Roy of the Raiders'...;) excellent candid portrait my friend...

Great portrait! At first glance he seems very serious, but you can see a hint of mischief in his eyes. Maybe he's deep in thought about his next ploy.
Fred255
He looks nice.

MMm! Delicious! (even though he has his cap on back-to-front which is a personal no-no for me like socks and shorts and sandals) A super portrait.

What a great story and what a grand way to make your entrance in the Trifecta Venatorius. I wonder how long it took him to think that little trick up. Your photo is as good as the story.

LOL, This is great and this sounds like so much fun. This is way more exciting sounding then the RPG going on here. Awesome candid portrait. A true ninja photographer.

Aye, a fine portrait of a fine looking laddie, but an Oakland Raiders fan? At least he's not wearing an ear stud.

Great capture!

Ooooooh, those penetratingly blue eyes, and what a great ploy to initiate his first trifeca with! Lovely image.

nice portrait...

If Roy is really a Raiders fan, he is going to love Richard Seymour. They just traded for Seymour from the Patriots. Awesome defensive lineman. Roy is a good looking addition to your clan. Dana

nice subtle lighting, difficult with an outdoor shot like this
Chipka
Fantastic story and a wonderful shot! I love candid shots and any image in which humans look more human than posed! Great expression on his face! This is fantastic work, both written and photographic and this capture is one of the reasons why I like writing so much. There's so much in that face, in the expression...wonderful work!

this gathering really does sound like a blast, lots of schemes & creative ins & outs and everyone seems to love it. We are loving it too, as you show us more and more angles & portraits from it. (And following Chip is daunting, believe me. I'm on my best literary & observational behavior here...) Another nice portrait, capturing a certain reserve and certain strength, a nice serving of shade & a nice to the side gaze—again, a person looking partly out of the frame, something you capture so well. Nice capture to one side too. Very nice Tara. And the story is great.
