Description

I met up with Charlotte over the weekend, a lovely model from RobynsVeil's imagination.  I was quite taken by her and decided to invite her over to the studio for a session.    As any Poserite or Dazian, I often try on different textures just to discover the different aspects of a character.  What struck me about Charlotte is how naturally adaptable she is to most any Mat'; in my experience that is not a guaranteed character trait.    Charley (Callad), who is a very dear friend of Charlotte's, has been peeking over my shoulder with interest to see what transpires during our initial session.  I put together a composite of the first several variations for Charley's pleasure.  While creating this I thought others would really appreciate seeing this curious exhibit also. So, here you are! Note that this is the original version of Charlotte, which Robyn offers free of cost right here: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/freestuff/details.php?item_id=52268    Charlotte's younger sister brings along her own texture & shaders and live's here: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/freestuff/details.php?item_id=53137    I rendered from the base pose with no modification to the expressions. All that varies from portrait to portrait is the texture, the eyes and the color/style of the hair.    You can expect to see the results of my exploration of Charlotte's possibilities in the days and weeks ahead.  If there is one or two of the above portraits that you'd enjoy seeing in more detail, feel free to make some noise.  I will be listening. Terry

Oh MY! Yes! She IS a beauty and has MANY faces as you show us here! Did you do all that with just texture?? I almost cannot believe that for in the full view (and that is a MUST here..) she differs in her 'look' from innocent, sad, girl next door, to hautain and even a real sexy girl! Uhm.. must I really pick one or two so you can make a full image or portrait?? devlish smile okies then.. Then I pick (from left to right) 2, 4, 5, 3, 1 and 6.. No hurry Terry.. one a day is fast enough for me ^^.. Just kidding! Not about wanting to see all of them, cuz I would like that, but one a day.. every other day is okies also ^~ And yes.. I am a big fan of Charlotte.. My Av is her, as you know.. :)

Callad: "Did you do all that with just texture??" Yes. The differences are solely produced by the textures. I "did" nothing to alter the pose, expression or lighting. All that I changed was the eye color and the style/shade of the hair. It's the wonder of Charlotte shining through that produces such diverse magic.

My-oh-my-oh-MY! Terry, WOW! You are really a very gifted artist, in more ways than one. Of course I viewed this composite image in full view mode and as I moved back and forth, I was more and more impressed with how clever you really are. Not just the textures, but how you carefully matched the hairstyle and even details like lipstick: you have a subtle sense of colour and balance. Each girl is completely different, and yet: they are all Charlotte. Thank you for calling back into consciousness just how wonderful this art form really is, particularly in sensitive hands like yours, Terry. Thank you... and enjoy Charlotte. Looking forward - very MUCH so! - to your next creation, with her in the spotlight.

This is a wonderful collection and it is amazing how different you can make one character look. I think I like the redhead but it is close.
