Description
early morning mist, almost shrouding the entrance to Fonthill Park, nr Hindon Wilts, my birthplace. Once the home of the eccentric William Beckford, who built a gothic tower near here, to such a height that within a short time after completion it dramatically collapsed. The only reason for building it, so that he could see another of his properties in Bath. Many rumours abound of his eccentricities, this would probably confirm most of them.
