This is for my very special friend Val (Godin) who gifted me her lovely character Rose. Though rarely do I do elves and faes this character was just singing out to me to make her into a wood elf. I must admit that her song was irresistible and I succumbed! She is indeed a mighty magical creature; without a doubt, the finest female elf in the land.
Without hesitation I granted her wish to wield a sword and take command of a magical ritual that she assured me needed to be done. So I say, "Carry on Ros" you will always be Rose by any other name!
It is Ros, for that is how my name is known in Gaelic. I am now the high priestess of the Tautha De Danaan. It is not a role that I had ever expected to be thrust me, nor one that I relish. I was only meant to be senior priestess of the wood elves. But now fate has taken a cruel turn for the worst -- the unthinkable has happened. Eriu, my beloved mentor, queen and high priestess of my people, the Tautha De Danaan, has been killed in battle against the Milesian invaders at Tailtiu. So now it has been cast upon me to carry out the last rites for my teacher.
For the first time in my life it is I and not Eriu who had to light these fires to call upon the ancestors. Soon I will start the ritual telling them that they are about to be joined by a mighty woman warrior. In my hand I hold Eriu's favorite sword -- now it is mine. I cannot help but wonder.. if Eriu had carried this sword into battle rather than Fragarach, the supposedly invincible sword of her ancestor, Lugh Longarm, would she have then defeated Scota? Why had not Lugh's sword won the day for her?
Such thoughts plague me in these dark times, but now I must push them away. There will be eons of time to think on them later. Now I must focus on doing honor to my mentor. Wait? Who is that rustling in the darkness? Better not be a damn Milesian or I will strike the bastard down before he even sets foot in my temple! Could it be my cousins Elerisha and Morgana coming to help me in the ritual or is it my battle captain arriving with the Erie's remains? Whatever, when they have all come the ceremony will begin. Though I am not glad for it I know what must be done; Eriu trained me well. Though this night should not have come to be I am ready for it. I will do well. For I am Ros, high priestess of the Tautha De Danaan!

OMG Roxy this is awesome...you made Rose look fantastic here in her Elfish element in which i think she is looks the best...wowww i love what you have done here..you brought out her beauty very well..i know that you normally are not into elves but Girl you are soo good in Elf scenes 2..i love the ones you created for Peggy (pearl3d) The colors, lighting and use of props and brushes are very very good and beautiful.. Wonderful dedi! Rose is gorgeous and you did her a terrific elf mood. The out fit is so beautiful. The use of the props is fantastic. I loved that one with a dragon. Is that a shield?
