Description

Went out to retrieve my garbage container from the road (yes we have trash service out here in the sticks:) and came upon this. Was hard to get any decent photograph amid the sandy dirt and rocks of my driveway but didn't feel really good about picking up this crispy fellow and moving him to a more beautiful setting like a bed of clovers which is my favorite backround:) Just thought he or she was interesting and how many times do you find a dead bat in your driveway? Reminds me of a cool Willie Nelson song called Angel Flying Too Close To The Ground. Thanks for looking! Cynthia

Very interesting! I see them flying in the summer, but I've not handled a live one, although I do have a skeleton in my collection.

Oh!!! Sad! It's death seems to be due to a car or something... very pathetic!

Did I ever mention that my personalized license plate says "DEDSTUF" It's true. I even have my own "Book of the dead" - photos of spectacular road kills and other deceased creatures. This one is really cool!

This is unusual, interesting, unique and very sad Cynthia. An outstanding capture. This turned out great. The lighting is perfect. Scary image here. Huggs... Silkylady...

Bats are such interesting creatures...I've had the privilege of handling a couple. Well, they were handled under controlled petting-zoo conditions and well...they seem to like to cuddle up a lot. Anyway, this is a stunning and raw shot. Great work.
