My first real attempt at abstract, please comment.
I'm not going to give an explanation of the work, I'd rather let you figure that out yourself. But, if you'd like to know what I intended, just ask.

You wanted that, Topgunner... I will try. A sea wave by Hokusai? But why "Edge of Humanity"? Why is the wall inverted? Is it a prison wall? [walls often associate with prisons in my imagination] And the central part of the picture will soon change into the yin-yang symbol. You provoke... and my thoughts begin an uncontrolled Marathon run.

I used contrasting colors in this work to express battleling emotions. Warm (gold) is for freedom, while Cold (blue) is for imprisonment. It's an expression of how we trap our souls within barriers created by the mind. At the edges of these barriers, the two emotions (freedom and confinement) freely mix and in the very center is where you will find a portrait of humanity. Look closely at the center and you may see the gaze of truth. It is in this whirlpool of conflict, that deep inside you find the edge of humanity.

interesting image. And I have to say, even more interesting now that I understand the symbolic meaning behind it. You should do some newer stuff like this. Bigger too.
