Description

I believe this is the last of the dino images for TIME WARS. The Dimetodon was one of my favorite dinosaurs growing up, right after the T-Rex of course. Now, I have come to learn that it truly wasn't even a dinosaur, but a precursor to mammmals! You learn something new every day. That's what keeps us young. Dimetrodon by Dinoraul. I also put this in the Poser area, because of two reasons. 1) I set up the dinos in Poser before bringing them into Vue and 2)most of my friends who look at my art look at the Poser gallery and not the Vue gallery. And again, if anyone likes to play Magic: The Gathering, please check out EPIC at www.epictcg.com . It's like Magic without the resources and every card is broken! Well, they're not broken, they're EPIC! :P Thanks for looking.

I was kinda surprised to when I first learned that dimetrodons were protomammals. It apparently has to do with the number of holes in their skull and the fact they h ave varying teeth.

Man, that threw a spanner in my thought's, I always figured the Dimetrodon's were in the Lizard side of evolution, so this could actually be a...COW ! If so, it would be a real bitch at milking time ! Neat scene set up ang great looking beasties. ~Cheers~

Theres a lot of interesting scientific information and speculation coming out these days regarding these prehistoric mammoths, with developments in DNA sequencing and such. Really cool to see them brought to life in your commissioned works! Love the styling of these images and the very realistic way they are portrayed.
