The red glow of the combat lights and the blank view screens made the empty bridge feel like a ghost ship, Ranger Madilyne "Wraith" Pride thought to herself as she heard the whirring of her ever present weapons droid and partner, Casper. The droid had been given the name Casper shortly after his, she did not think of it as an "it", being assigned to her since there were no human Ranger that would work with her. The other Rangers had thought it funny, but Madilyne did not let their attempt at humor go unpunished. After the first five Rangers came down with a very sudden, very painful and mysterious intestinal virus, all of the jokes about Casper stopped but the name had already stuck. "OK, Casper find me a life form on this bucket so we can get out of here. "There are presently no human lifeforms other than yourself Wraith" Casper replied as he kept his pace with her. "However, I am currently tracking seven lifeforms of a type I am unfamilar with. "Great! You are just full of good news today aren't you Casper?" She replied sourly as she instintively grasped her weapon a little tighter. "Well lets get this over with. They don't pay us Rangers to sit around and talk to each other now do they?" "Wraith, can we at least try to keep me in one piece this time? I realise that I am just a droid and all, but it does cause a small amount of trauma to my logic circuts when I get my legs and head ripped off by aliens." Madilyne senced a note of dispair in her friends request and without missing a step replied, "Now Casper, I never intentionally allow anyone to harm you, but you have to admit that the last time was not my fualt. How was I to know that there was a group of Pygmy droid worshipers stowed away on that transport?" She tried to surpress a giggle as she remembered her friend being torn aprat by the two foot tall pygmies as each of them tried to get their own little part of her friend. It had taken her threats of shooting parts of their Chiefs lower body off before they relented and gave her all of the missing parts to Casper. "You may think that was funny Madilyne, but I seem to recall that you were not to amused when I had to promise that slime beast back on planet 149 your best pair of boots to keep you from becoming his bride." Madilyne gave a small involentary shudder as she was reminded of how close she had come to being incased in a slime tube for the rest of her life. "OK, lets get our head back in the game and tell me where I need to go so I can kill whever is at fault for this so I can get off this tub." "You need to exit the bridge and take tube 3 down to sub-level bravo, Wraith." Casper replied returning tothe task at hand. "Well Casper, lets get this over with so we can get you an oilbath and me a long ht shower." She said as she hit the call button for her ride to sub-level 3. This is the second Sci-Fi pic that I promised a while ago. Every once in a while I get into a non-fetish kick and will produce several images that have nothing to do with my normal stuff and once it is out of my system they generally get thrown in a folder and never see the light of day. The last two pieces just happned to get luck and were posted. I still have not made anything new yet and I am not sure when that will happen, until that time I will continue to post some of the older stuff that I feel is worthy.
