Description

Vue 7.4 Complete render - won second place in the "Maximum Mountains" contest at Cornucopia. Postwork: Subtle pixel-level corrections on the road, levels corrections, framing, signature & JPEG-compression. The road (hi-res imagemap) and slope-effect (greyscale heightfield with intricate masking work etc.) were made as "pre-work" in Photoshop to be used in the Vue terrain editor. - I know that this could probably be done much easier in Geocontrol 2, well my trial version expired a long time ago, so... It also was one of the ideas I played with for the "2009 environment contest" at E-ON, but I think I came up with a better one for that :) That one can be viewed here

Extraordinary!, That if a real mountain road. The landscape is truly realistic, with the city in the background, and angle of vision chosen. It is one of their images impressed me most. Congratulations.
