Description

My husband and I had come out of Panera Bread back in July and I saw this. I commented on the "sculpture" thinking it was plastic. Then it moved...and I jumped back, startled. Of course I always carry my camera with me so I snapped a pic. For one, it was a odd place to see it and two, it was so close! (i think it is a blue heron. if not, please educate me...thanks!!) p.s. Willie...this is for you...not a cat :)

Hahahaha back at you. I'm now guessing that Panera bread is only place wildlife can survive with all those cats around. For those who don't understand this comment. I know Sandy (misskitty). She is a cat person, I'm a dog lover.

Around here you have to stalk them and be really quiet just to get a long-distance shot! This is astonishing.

First I also thought it was a sculpture. When one sees the second time you look it, it is real and alive, always nice to feel that a camera at the right moment, beautiful picture*****

Sometimes a surprise is the best. There must be a school of fish nearby. The glass reflection may have tricked the heron to thinking it was water.

Hmmm. . . The heron must have a thing for those cinnamon crunch bagels. He may have been waiting for a handout. :) Super great shot!!!!

great shot, I thought it was a statue at first as well, one smart bird hanging out in front of a bakery.
