Description
Last Saturday, marks the end of my Nikon D70. I said a happy goodbye, after it decided to fail me 5 minutes into taking pictures at the Minnesota Zoo last Saturday. The monkeys were being SO cute, too, when the stupid thing malfunctioned. I was close to throwing it against the wall - I was so frustrated. I did take pictures with my cell phone though. Woo Hoo lol
But, I had a plan .. when I got home, I was going to go all out and buy the D200. With last years bonus still just sitting in the bank lookin' pretty, and doing nothing, I figured what the heck. I was told by many that the lenses for my D70 would all work with any Nikon upgrade. So, all I needed was a new body. (Turns out my macro lens and portrait lenses do not work with it, so don't believe it.)
I was surprised to discover the D200 was hard to find! Nobody sold them! Well, determined to get SOMETHING that day ... I walked into a camera shop and spoke to a guy there - and he introduced me to the D90. Said it pretty much does all a 200 does and is just as nice, but less expensive. He talked me into it, and I have to say, I have a lot to learn with this D90; but already I've decided I love it much more than I ever did the D70.
This photo was taken just the other day at Maria State Park .... D90 style.

Congratulatons on The D90 purchase,I use the D90 as well,and it is a very capable camera, one thing I did find out after I made the purchase is that this particular camera is no good for shooting color Infrared images,so I was extremely dissappointed............

d90 is super and if you go to the pawn shops and find old nikon film lens [got some for $25 and some other lens Ifrom diff brands i got a adapter to fix on the camera so they will work cost $45] . it will work too. oh and check out the video the d90 makes. I like that part too. wonderful image here
