Description
In this night photo the banana trees at the side of the house can be seen there on the left. The clear lights Marshall strung along the upper and lower deck and the lit tiki torches spill light onto the plants on the bluff and surrounding areas.
Although barely visible in the picture, Marshall's grill commands the right side of the upper deck and at least once a week plume after plume of mesquite flavored smoke rises from its smoke stack and waffle throughout the neighborhood. Chicken, catfish, hot dogs and hamburgers are standard fare. Sunday brunch with the kids and friends on the upper deck under the canopy of trees have become treasured memories. On many nights dying tiki flames signal the lateness of the hour as friends and company prepare to take their leave. And after they leave we stroll down to the lower deck, sit and marvel at the beautiful scene (this scene pictured here) before us and feel so overwhelmingly blessed for our health, family, friends and home/sanctuary/retreat. We are indeed so very very blessed.
