Description

On the hill, along side the road are a grove of trees. One of these trees fell victim to a storm and split as you see it here. The trunk is 8 inches (20 cm) in diameter. the split is about 7 foot up and travels down as you see it. tomorrow I will show a side view of this same trunk so you can see the way it was split. Thank you for all the wonderful comments and faves. Thanks for looking and have a great Sunday, or what's left of it! Mike

Woah...did a number on it...amazing the force behind wind, rain, water. Natures elements can be awesome or down right nasty!

alas, from such other life is born; and some times, the tree itself is reborn. nice shot Mike!

Oh, that's gotta hurt. Looks dried out compared to the tree next to it. Nice capture of the woods. Looks like a great place to wander.

Wow. We have an enormous Cottonwood tree on our property, and it was hit by lightening a couple years ago. There is a scar on the trunk - the bark split, from high up down to the ground, and along several of the major branches. Perhaps I'll try to take a picture....

Ooh! Spectacular scene here! Love the point of view you've captured here for us, and shown this occurrence! Always something to marvel at when your walking along, and wonder about how and when.... beautiful shades of green... literally and metaphorically, a natural beauty!

My friend you are a large Lord to take guard with this Nature. You know I am trite to see a broken tree where to tear off by the winds. For those which adores Nature Will be able to say the sights of a tree. Because he tells his vexations and that one there will havejust a history to be told. You know I am not insane for as much. I dictate the thoughts of my heart. But I am can be too tender not to accept this type of things. I hope that you include/understand my point of view of MICKEYRONY ((6.5++)) Mon ami tu es un grand Seigneur pour prendre garde à cette Nature .

Well you know the saying, no one gets out of life alive. Guess that goes for trees versus nature. And if Nietzsche was right and the tree survives it will be stronger.
