Description
US Coast Guard training barque EAGLE. Built in 1936, in Germany, as the Horst Wessel and commissioned by Adolf Hitler. Brought to the US after World War II.

Great pic!! I know a few coast guarders what would like this pic. BTW Horst Wessel wrote the "poem" that was later turned into the Nazi Anthem that was known as the Horst Wessel. He was killed in a bar fight. The Coast Guard emblem was designed by the famous designer Raymond Lowery.
