Description

I first saw 2001 in the early 70's and shortly thereafter bought a book on the making of the film which had buried in the pictures section some blueprints on the contruction of HAL. I followed those blueprints pretty religiously when making this model. The part I don't quite get yet is that the top of HAl looks a little skewed even though the model is straight. If you happen to know why, let me know.

Nice work! As for the slight skewing, its probably a small optical illusion caused by the lighting...

I see only now your 2001 artwork! A fantastic image! I like the glow in this image, very effective! Just for coincidence, I've posted on renderosity a couple of minutes ago an image based on 2001 Odyssey... take a look at it! :)
