Description

Have yet to find a macro lens for the new D90 purchase, but did manage to catch this mantis as it moved from one leaf to the next. Thanks for visiting and for all the wonderful comments on the Coyote Buttes Wilderness series. More to come on that series.

Outstanding photo! The way his head is cocked, with that eye spot and his jaws, it's like he is saying something very rude to you because you took his picture! Absolutely great photo! thank you for sharing it with us

Great shot. How do you like your camera, I found where Nikon offers classes, and I am thinking of taking some, not available in my state so it will require some travel time but I think it will be well worth it. Here is a lens someone recommended to me... lense Good luck.

Excellent shot! I love how you caught him between leaves! On my immediate wish list is a pocket camera, so I can always have one with me. Afraid it'll have to wait a bit. My car hiccupped and took precedence.
