I want to thank everyone who commented and fav'd my last image, They always make feel good to read your comments. Thank you.
It's been a while since I uploaded an image, things have been very busy in the Forest this Spring and summer. So there has been little time for uploads. Along with the fun and laughter, there has been sadness in the Forest. On 25 August I lost my dear, sweet Scottie Campbell. She was 13 and collapsed and died at my feet. It was a shock, because she never had a sick day and though, getting older, she seemed fine. The only good part is she didn't seem to suffer.
The Fairies took her in one of the fine Butterfly boats through the Great Green pond to the Blue River and down to the Rainbow Bridge, which she crossed wagging her tail and another star appeared in the evening sky. She is sorely missed and will always be in our hearts. Sleep well sweet 'Pudge.'

as a dog owner and general animal lover it saddens me to hear about your loss of Campbell...i am sure she now sits in doggie heaven watching over her mom...

My heart is breaking for you, with you. Campbell has gone on to romp and play and wait for you, and she watches over you, willing your grief to gently ease into warm remembrances of happy years filled with love. And, if you listen very carefully, you can hear all the ones that went before singing Campbell home. You can hear that song only in that time between waking and sleeping .. that sort of magic twilight time when we are neither here nor there, and when it's possible to touch the spirits of our loved ones. I think you caught that time right here in your image of the Beautiful Butterfly Boat gliding quietly along the Green Pond, and I bet you heard that beautiful soulful song while you were putting Campbell's star in the sky.

I am so sorry for your loss dear friend. They are such a huge part of our lives and hearts. Such a beautiful creation and dedi for her. I'm sure she's barking and having a great time in the forest. Hugs.

Yup, its the best way to pass on, my father died in his sleep there was very little suffering. Doesn't make the loss that much less painful though. Sorry to hear about what happened :( Gorgeous image with all the right elements.
