brilliant painting! but the real question wshould be: how will he survive on Mars - with no helmet???

This is a stunning portrait, full of drama, pathos, and all the stuff that goes along with great science fiction. Luckily he's crashed on a terraformed Mars...I'd hate to see him on the present day Mars without a helmet. Fantastic work, and I love the sense of emotion that this image conveys. Great stuff.
