Description


King Protea flowers again at the Huguenot Monument. The bud with its silvery petals is about the size of an adult hand, the one unfurling behind is around 20cm (8in) diameter. I guess title could apply to a lot of us at the moment - grow well where planted, bud and bloom. Enjoy - and Smile! Clive

Beautiful image! The flowers are so beautiful mA! And you took the shot from a great angle - the image is brighten-up and the transparency of the flowers' petals is visible! Awesome shot man!

I like your title Clive but even more so the fantastic capture! Great POV to have the fully opened bloom behind the bud... Stunning!! Maybe I should get my behind to the Botanical gardens this weekend to capture some proteas. It is about the only place here in JNB where I will find some! :)
