Making friends here that share their work, interests, and techniques make this site the best out there. I love it here! Always glad to see your work! Ray

I don't care if one person comments - cherish your friends ( I'll even rate ya ! LOL!)

Making comments that can help or encourage others, viewing work that can inspire me, having friendly helpful members willing to support and give their help and share their experiences are all a wonderful benefit to this site.

Its very inspiring, posting and sharing one pic a day, it keeps me in a way creative. Comments are great, but not always the main isue. Nevertheless, its a great community here, and I like to go trough the galleries, commenting what I like or find special, Congratulations with your 1400th. Keep going! RS

Well done! I personally think that one takes whatever they want from it i.e. If its the number of views/comments that drives one then so be it. But ultimately I feel its important to participate in the community and be a part of it. The comments and views serve to inspire and further ones artistic endevours. Keep up the great work!

Comments help to make things better. A lot of comments help to make things a lot better, its good for your will to expand your abilities. But comments should be true and something "personal", they should be focused on the object. With a comment a la "nice pic" I cannot work....

I like comments that actually SAY something other than "nice" or "well done". Even critique can be useful if suggestions are made.

Well for me I like seeing other people's work, making friends and getting ideas. I don't care about the ratings or gallery of the month or whatever. No offense to the fine folk here, but its just never been my thing. The competitive side of photography is totally at odds with why I started doing it all those years ago! That said I would be a liar if I didn't admit that I do get a kick out of selling one of my works!
