While weeding my mom's garden Tuesday, I happen to accidentally disturb this fine young fellow. I had my camera with me and proceeded to take his picture. he was very cooperative and it was a lot of fun! I had the macro on and was doing great, when he decided to investigate the camera as I was taking the picture. This is why the image is blurred! I did use Paint Shop Pro 2X to 'fix' the picture, but I think I'll have to accept that the macro is good only when the subject is NOT on the lens! But I'm posting it as I think it is a neat shot. When you look at other shots of insects and spiders, how many of them have the subject right on the lens of the camera? I don't recall seeing any, how about you?
This fine fellow only measures about 2 1/2 to 3 inches in length.
Thank you for your comments and your discussion regarding the water fountain pictures. With very few exceptions, this photo being one of them, I do not do any 'fixing' of the photos. What you see is what I saw and shot.
As a reminder to all viewers, I mainly take photos so I can use them as backgrounds for my renders. So don't be surprised if you see the 1st fountain picture appear on this site, but with some fae lurking about.
