Description

Hi there. This is IMHO a female Meconema thalassinum. I found her sitting on a window board and took some shots. Then I went to my car and go to a little gig with our orchestra. After this I came back, look and the female is still there. I went closer and see her disaster. She tried laying eggs with her ovipositor between the window plastics and the insulation. The elastic band of the insulation jammed the ovipositor. What to do?!? I use my letterbox-key to extend the little split and set her free. After this I catch her and release her in the meadow near the house. Hope you all understand what I tried to tell *g* Have a great day.

Very sharp! F/22 definately helps keep the whole subject in focus! We have these same critters here in Colorado too.
