Very nice. Reminds me of those Sesame Street martians.

Mmmm, with all this red; red sky, red landscape, shouldn't the martian be yellish??

Ha ha....the little guy is cute! The TG landscape is good, it has a rich colour but maybe the terrain could be complicated/detailed. One thing, if you have a feature in your image, like your alien, make sure its not the centre of your image, use the 3x3 rule, divide your image into 9 squares, an image feature should be on a cross of those squares so its never dead centre....features run diagonally or vertically along those 6 lines..you create depth by using a flowing line of focus..the eye travels from one feature to the next....in the image above my eye is drawn ( after you alien :) to the broken ridge back right...so if you added landscape feature lower left the image would 'balance'..this is just my opinion but the rule is used for photography and painting and applies equally to CG art...hope this has helped and please let me know when you post again...and did this do well for your project? I hope so ;)

Ah no, its not sesame street! It's the Jungle Book, with no-other than Baloo and see, THERE is Bagera, or Baggy! It is pretty cool, but the martian in my opinion does not have much depth, which can let you down as it IS a 3D trueSpace model.

The Martian is biologically questionable (what is that neck made of?). Might have been more effective with Phobos and/or Deimos in view.
