With all the people in the photo wearing white tops, they almost look as though they are prisoners. Well done Mary and glad you are not afraid to show a photo of a place and a place in time that some believe this tragedy never happened or existed.

Les petits leviers, qu'on manœuvrait encore à la main, semblent presque sympathiques. Mais la tour de guet à l'arrière-plan, qui ne sert pas à photographier les oiseaux, est là pour nous rappeler la funeste fonction, pas si ancienne que ça, de cette voie désaffectée où les malheureux qui l'empruntaient avaient un billet d'aller simple. Magnifique témoignage Mary!
