Description

I took about 10 photos of this little guy as I was inching up on him, before he scurried away. This is the best of the lot. You may have noticed, I don't name the type of lizard, or previously, dragonfly. I am filled to the brim with ignorance when it comes to the names of different animals. Thanks for viewing and for previous comments and favs.

Wow, he's pretty. Great shot they are quick little buggers you were lucky to get this. Our lizards are much more bland and I'm equally ignorant as to their real names. Lizard is good enough for me. :)

I don't know what it is about lizards but I like them. When I traveled in Southeast Asia I loved the sound of Geckos because they eat mosquitos and I knew I'd get a good night's sleep.

Arkansonian? Good capture of what appears to be just another garden variety type lizard doing what creatures of its ilk normally do.

This is a sceloporus sp. lizard - sometimes called swift lizards, fence lizards or blue bellies. In Idaho we have the sagebrush lizard which looks almost identical. I caught one when I was young and kept it in a terrerium for a couple of years, feeding it mealworms.
