Description
This 'shroom' is one of a freak patch I found growing
on wood chips used to cover the construction site of
our local Aldi store around the building itself prior
to opening. I eventually picked nearly a kilo of the
delectable morsels, and dried quite a few for later
use. Warning: unless you truly know fungi, I'd not
recommend this experiment for the ordinary person!

a fine macro and since I can leave mushrooms alone, I have no need to collect from nature or the local store
kaward
A great find and photo! I have enjoyed a few different wild varieties myself. Never Morels though as I have never found any still usable. I love young Shaggy inkcaps, and Giant puffball slices dipped in whisked egg and fried in butter are heavenly!
