Description

Hi guys sorry I haven't been around much for a while. My computer has been down for over a month and just when I got it back up and running again I get the call no one wants to get at 2 in the morning. My dad had another heart attack and died two weeks ago.Since then,I've been a little lost when it comes to what I should do with myself.Maybe it might have something to do with the fact that I haven't really cried, cant sleep and my appetite has disappeared. When something like this happens you cant help but look at your remaining parent and wonder how much time they've got left. You start noticing all the little lines on their face and how frail their body looks now.It seems so unfair somehow the he dies while so many people ,that do nothing but waste their lives just living to hurt others, live on. He was always a simple man.So accepting and kind.Whatever I wanted to do with my life was fine with him as long as I was happy. He was also very quite and loved to meditate and be alone. He never could stand to be around a lot of people and loved to be a homebody.I think I got my own reclusive nature from him.He was always so helpful around the house, showing me that a real man should want to help his girl out.He loved cats and music. He wasn't over protective (unlike my mom) but I guess that's understandable since I was their only child. I'm sorry if my thoughts seem a little scattered right and this image looks like crap but its the best I could do right now.I promise I'll start doing more images soon and get on with the business of living because life belongs to the living. Thank you guys for all your emails and kind messages and thank you for looking. Cheri

Hi Cheri First off, this is a beautiful render. I love the pose!!! Secondly, my condolences on the death of your father. I too am an only child and know how close we can be to our parents. As for feeling lost, not having cried, no appetite, plese know that everyone grieves in their own way and none is right or wrong and it is a process that takes time. You'll be in my thoughts!

Oh sweety.. hugs you tight I know what you speak of.. Give it time and all things will fall into place.. I know, easy for me to say but have been there a long, long time ago.. My mum is 86, my dad died 20 years ago. Again big hugs and your image isn't crappy at all!

You poor thing........ My heart goes out to you and your mum. Beautiful image by the way which, although brilliant, pales in comparison to the sentiment and to the gravity and honesty of your words here. You say life belongs to the living and I think your dad would have agreed, it sounds like he was a quiet man and a great supporting father - which shouts volumes. Be strong blackvixen - In time, you will be again.

Cheri, Your thoughts aren't scattered at all, and your render isn't 'crap'. Really sorry for your loss. To loose a Parent is always sad and tough, and that doesn't cover half of the emotions. You were obviously very 'close' to your Dad, and you will have many fond memories to treasure. Every now and then a memory will make you smile :o)

I'm so sorry for your loss. I have both of my parents still, thankfully. It gives thought to the fact that I should pay them more mind. The image is very nice!

For someone who's feeling the grief of the loss of a parent, your artistic talent is still strong enough to create this excellent picture. My condolences on your families loss, and we'll keep you in our prayers.

Hi Cheri, so sorry to hear about your Father. I'm not sure what to say to you to make it better. I guess I can just say what everyone usually says in times like these, hang in there, think positive and time will heal most of the pain. I'm going through a marriage breakup at the moment, so I'm pretty much lost as well. I hope things will get better for you. On another note, excellent image. Keep busy with Art, it usually helps to take your mind off things and makes time fly. Good luck, Honey.
