Description

Sorry, no cockroach today. Captured 9/19/09, in the very early morning under overcast skies, about .60 miles/.966 kilometers from my dauntless domicile. Time again to pick your fave. A ZOOM view is highly recommended. Original macro on top, center focus filter used on #2; light filter used on #3. Thankx for the visit, and tallyho.

Hmm, well I think they all three have merit; but my personal preference is #2. And it's a lovely rose to demonstrate the filters, nice composition with the buds spaced around it!

No:2 for me, this is my taste. Soft focus in a back and a full sharpness on a rose. Wonderful yellow colored petals and a new closed buds around is a nice touch.

They are all very pretty... but number 3 wins my fave, just by a hair :)

Number three all the way. I like the darkened edges of the photo.

I agree with the majority as it is so far, number 3 most definitely is the most pleasing to my eyes. Such a beautiful flower, perfectly shaped!

I think I'm going to go with the minority. I do love the dark background and light & shadow on the largest petal of #3, but I like the soft values and sharp focus of the rose in #2 the best. No roaches, aw shucks!

There is just something magic about a yellow rose that make them stand out and touch the heart! Fantastic images Harry with #3 my firm favourite. I feel the rose pops more for some reason! Have a great Tuesday! :)

I like all yellow roses but in this case and since you asked, I like the macro on top... When given a choice, I like a sharp focus. Well done.

A lovely yellow rose! The 4 unopened blossoms standing guard makes for a very nice composition. All variations are nice each with it's own mood.

All three are very nice and love each one. BUT #2,center focus filter, would be my pick. Dana
