Description

Volterra, a city "magical and mysterious," has its roots in three thousand years of history. Each period you can find traces and testimonanianze that helped make it unique in the city of art. Of the Etruscan period remain the walls, the imposing Porta Arch, the necropolis of Marmini and the numerous archaeological finds preserved in the Museo Etrusco Guarnacci from the shadows of the evening, with its unique profile, the urns, the finely crafted jewelry . The Theater of Vallebona, the Augustan Age demonstrates the importance that Volterra had in Roman times.

I have never been to Tuscany but it is on my list of the most beautiful places to visit. The rolling hills of green and gold are stunningly beautiful. Wonderful shot, and thanks for the great history.

Splendida fotografia! Bella immagine! Wonderful photography! It is not only beautiful but also fascinating. I find it interesting that we can see what lies below, by the shadows and the way plants grow. Beautiful image!
