I love the point of view..and the terrain and surfaces are so beautiful, as is the mood. Perfect atmosphere. Another excellent work, Rob.

At first the lighting please to me. The all the atmosphere, peace, and quiet ! Then the site you have created is a wonderful complex levels landscape of mountains...I like this picture very much !!!

Quality Terragen canyon scene. TG2 isn't really necessary when you have good photo integration (matte) skills to enhance a Classic Terragen scene. And that you most certainly have, Rob. Do you use Dodge and Burn in your post work (I'm thinking light and shadow emphasis on nearby cliffs)?

Most of the matte work I do usually requires much more time than the original TG render. The techniques varies with the image - though no preconception is involved - it is always spontaneous, it just depends what photo's I have available at the time. If I were to pre-plan something, it never, ever works for me... it's just the way it is. I once did a tutorial showing exactly how one such image is made and I think Bob C. is still hosting it on his website.

And, I think this is the best way to create them: "Most of the matte work I do usually requires much more time than the original TG render. The techniques varies with the image - though no preconception is involved - it is always spontaneous, it just depends what photo's I have available at the time. If I were to pre-plan something, it never, ever works for me... it's just the way it is. This is why I think that once you're in full drive of TG2, you will blow all of us away!

Amazing. Love the midground cliffs. The integration is flawless Rob, and a beautiful field of flowers it is. The lighting has your touch, excellent work.

Wow!! I envy your painting skills - There are qualities to this that rival the best that TG2 has to offer. But you shouldn't worry about diving in. Particularly if you make use of the some the free default NWDA preset and perhaps RArcher's free fantasy sky preset. You do stunning work, I wish I had your sense of colour!!
