Description
This image is dedicated to Valery (Godin). She is one of the nicest ladies I know, and I am so proud to be her friend. She is an amazing artist, and her gallery is filled with images that can only be desribed as Heavenly. Valery is also a vendor, and her characters (Dena) and (VH Rose) are a pleasure to work with. For a long time Valery has been a dear friend to me. She is a loving friend, and has a inner strength that can't be matched. She always leaves such thoughtful comments for my images, and I wanted to do one for her. When Valery was a little girl she was kind and shy. Her parents could leave her alone, and know she was safe. Except for this one time she was tempted to have an adventure. I hope you enjoy her story.

Valery's Big Adventure (For Godin): Years ago in the Netherlands It was just after Christmas, and Valery watched the neighbor boys dragging Christmas trees into town. Every year the whole town would gather and create a fire with the trees. It sounded so exciting, and Valery wanted to go. Her parents were at work, so she hoped to go to the event and return before they were home. She followed the boys into town, and realized she was now lost and alone. Many people said hello to her, but none of them realized she was scared and crying. Finally a policeman saw Valery, and he took her to his home. She had a great time playing with his children, and his wife took good care of her. Later that night he got a report that a family was looking for a missing girl. The policeman took Valery home, and she was so happy. Her entire family was there to greet her, including Tippy the cat and her sister. Her Mom Rita was crying, and so happy to see her. Her Dad John thanked the policeman for bringing her home. Valery learned a lesson about going out alone that she never forgot.
Forgive me if I am quiet and slow to respond to your messages. My Mom collapsed the other day while she was shopping, and was taken to the hospital. She is home now, and the doctors are running tests on her to find out what happened.

Wonderful render and composition, Dave. The high polished floor looks great. It is also a great childhood memory and story, with a happy ending. My guess is, that Valery's desire for adventure, was cured for a while, after this. #:o). Wonderful work all the way through, and a fine dedication for your friend.

First of all Dave...i am soo sorry about your mothers situation..and i hope you keep me informed about the test results... I am sooo happy with this amazing dedi!! and you did create this while you are going through a difficult time right now...and therefore i feel even more specials that you made this dedi for me:)) Thank you soo much my dear dear friend...you are soo special..Know that You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers and take good care of yourself 2.. The composition and image are Amazingly beautiful WOWWW....my deep respect and i admire it soo much how you put this whole scene together and bringing it so alive....the face expressions and poses and all the characters matching exactly to my story even all the hairstyles and the hair colors are a perfect match and wowww you even brought in the policeman in this image...and Tippy my sweet cat is also there...i love it :))...and the shadow and reflection work are Outstanding!!...you even showed a bit of the garden..you always put soo much effort and love and details in your works they are very special all of them...instant fav!!! Beautiful story and fantastic image dedicated to a wonderful person. Valery is a great friend to many of us here in the community. Just wish we could all send her good vibes to help her feel better. So sorry to hear about your mom. I sure hope it was nothing too serios and can be fixed quite easily. I know how much we worry about our parents. Hope your dad is also doing well. Prayers of health for all of you. Big hug for you Dave.

what a wonderful story! I'm so glad it had a happy ending. the scene sure does express the happiness of that moment; the smiles are wonderful to see. even the cat looks happy. I like the poses and placement of the characters very much, especially the policeman; I like that he's barely in the door and the family is already so grateful. your attention to detail is well done, too. the picture on the wall and the lamp on the table... I also really like the view outside, the muted color of the trees and sky signify that dusk is approaching fast and it would have been night soon and that would have been an even scarier scene for this family. well done, Dave, I always love your images! I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. I hope she's ok. she will be in my prayers with the rest of your family. please write if you need to talk. hugs

A lovely story my friend told in your immaculate style. Valery truly is a wonderful lady with a golden heart, I am certain she will love this dedication. Sure hope the doctors can find out more on you mom and get that corrected. Hang in there my friend, I know you have had some trying times.

Totally delightful especially in close up view where you can even see Mom's happy smile and her "Come here Sweetie" expression. The big embrace to welcome home a lost child and the big relief. Val looks like I would imagine her to be, taking it all in stride but also so happy to be with her family again. The men look like men do, Dad being a bit more resolute, while the cop is still here, holding it in for afterwards. Even the cat is meowing her happiness to see Val back. Superb scene right down to the reflections on the floor. I am sorry to here of your mom, such situations are frightening and that adds just another worry to your already full plate.
