Not real sure about this one. I'll let ya'll be the judge. The light seems a bit too contrived to me. And her expression, even though I was going for surprise, seems a bit too wide-eyed. I may just need more coffee.

Definitely Aery Soul. Definitely cool. Great expression on her face - she's afraid of something that's for sure. I rather like the light - it's different but adds to the fantasy element. Great posing and cool setting. Love the flowers.

The only thing I would say is maybe add more bluish light coming from the glowing crystal on her. Other than that, masterfully done!

Definite Aery Soul for sure. Her expression caught my interest right away, and while it may be overdone, why not go for it? Too many bland poser poses in the galleries, this is a refreshing change, it has life. As for lighting, since you ask. I wonder why the main and bright light is coming from behind her, I know you need some fill lighting. You have some nice blue lighting coming from her staff, why not boost this to be the main light and just put in some soft low light from behind and below to give it a bit of a spooky affect? As for the scene itself, I love it. So well done with all the trees, shrubs and herbs.

To me he expression is spot on. She not only looks suprised she looks absolutly shocked.. But what i wonder about is the light on the stump? Where does it come from if the light source is her glowiing staff? (I think i may finally be getting the concept of lighting a 3d scene.) But this is still a great image! How did you create the scene? Grass and forest around her?

I am a fan of your work, as you know, and find this an excellent scene. I like the color flow from the flowers on the right to the crystal of her staff, great transitions and wonderful use of light, which is enhanced by the PoV and the darkness of the forest behind. The sheer detail of the plants are amazing, the blades of grass to the leaves of the pine trees; amazing. The model's expression is not just of surprise but her pose, caught between flight or fight. Excellent! Normally: I would just say excellent setting and scene building but as you asked. ;-)

I am going to agree with you that something looks awkward. I am thinking its the position of the stump with relation to her as she appears to be in motion and would be unbalanced if she is not - but she does not look like she just 'jumped over or stepped off the stump'. The flowers too the blue/white - seem to create an odd flat layer in the image as well. Hope this helps. The expression looks good as if something just flew over or she spotted something in the sky.
