Description

Just back from long away-from-home summer, and then Portugal trip - I'm glad to be here once again :) This is a photo of Bom Jesus do Monte Sanctuary (18th-early 19th century): Neoclassic church with a magnificent Baroque stairway and Bom Jesus funicular, the oldest in Iberian Peninsula. Located in the Braga city surroundings, Portugal. Since it was a conference and field trip, I took a brand new, compact camera with me (to reduce the number of bags), and was discovering its features on the go. One of them is "nighttime illumination". I'm quite pleased with the result; illustrates the mood of the place fairly well.
