Description

Evening all :o) First off let me say it would seem we have lost another great photographer and more so a very good friend in Ronnie ,which I am not very happy about . This shot was taken today about 40 miles from where I live in Middleton in Teesdale ,the actual place where we were is called High Force .This was another expedition on the River Tees with a few other members of the Camera Club for the bridges over the River Tees themed competition .The shot was taken to the side of the Winch suspension bridge which I will show later .The bridge owes its existence to the lead miners that it was built for in the 18th century .In 1802 a chain broke and a man was drowned so was eventually replaced by the suspension bridge thats there now and was maintained by the miners subscriptions . Thanks for the look and take care :o) Mick

It's sad that we lost a great photo artist like Ron. I sure wish it had not gone that far! Great shot and title!

One tends to attribute the golden froth to beer. Rename it Beer Force, eh? Aside from the wit, or lack of it, a very nice photo.

You managed to get there the day I went the rain was so heavy. And the parking charges etc so high. We decided not to go. A good shot you got here. Remember Mick, not all is straight forward, there are 2 sides to every story. Nobody forced Ronnie to leave.

Hey, Mick! I'll never leave ya! LOL You are stuck with me. I love the show of force here...soft earth and swift water makes for the dark colors in the falls. Stunning.

Great pic here Mick and let me take the time to say I'm very sorry for the loss of your friend. I love bridges (especially old one's) and can't wait to see the one you mentioned
