Description

Hi there. This little Common Brimstone (Gonepteryx rhamni) male I rescued from the glasshouse in our garden. They always find the door to get in but don't find the door again to leave the house. I carefully caught him with the wings closed between my thumb and forefinger and tried to get a closeup of his eyes holding the cam with the other hand. Not the best shot, I think, but I like to share his face... Have all a great weekend, my friends. Edit: Ursula (Flora-Crassella) gave me a hint - and when I try to remember the rescue I think also it was a Pieris rapae or Pieris napi, not a Common Brimstone. Thanks for the note.

so now you tell your secret on how you get so close with a 60mm macro. I can get real close sometimes with my 105, but usually scares my prey.superb detail on it's face
