Description

My fav hangout around here is a little shop called Clockwork Comics. Every now and again they get an artist from Marvel or DC that I respect and admire to come in for a guest visit. One day this past fall they ran an art contest judged by Mike Zech, the man behind Wolverine's best art at Marvel. This was my entry piece, hand drawn and acrylic painted, no postwork in anything. I didn't win the contest but I did get to talk to Mike Zech for a very long time, got a lot of good advice, and he even drew a picture of The Punisher in my sketchbook as a gift for me. He's a very nice man. The concept of this piece was to portray 3 different aspects of Wolverine. Upper left, Hugh Jackman as Wolvie from the Movie. Upper right, Ultimate Wolverine. Center bottom, "Classic Wolvie."
