Wow, that is really good, were the bearings already modeled? I will need to learn how to play around with the lighting like that.

No, I modeled everything myself. I used to use models and mats by others, but as I got better I found much enjoyment in doing my own modeling and transforming standard textures with the DTE and creating a more unique look. (one day I may learn how to make a tree!) lol

Arguably, lighting is the most important thing of all. In my post "Conquistador, Parfume pur Homme" there are hardly any objects there at all. Other than the centerpiece on the perfume bottle, the bottle itself is just a single metaball, that was "sculpted" with light. (i went thru a phase of just working with lighting, and there are several posts that way). Others have whizzed by me in general at Bryce. I plod along. I take just 1 thing, and work with it until I have mastered it. I started with terrains. I see most people have some real goofy looking terrains, totally unrealistic looking. Then I moved to textures, rendering, camera, multi-replicating, lighting, boleans, metaballs, and finally modeling, to put it all together. I still can't make a tree! I can't even make a "scene" worth a damn. But I enjoy making "objects", and making them look 'realistic'.
