thank you...just using the multi-replicating feature...but man, the wireframe sure gets real messy , real fast...(pain in butt) lol

Looks not all to complex in my eyes but i am not a Bryce user ,so i have no idea how difficult it is to create this I like the concept of this design... pretty rustic and cool schadow reflection work and textures

Fractelaar...in an other program this would be a 5 min job. IN Bryce it is a complete nightmare. In Bryce, all the negative space (the grooves), have to be cut with intersecting objects, given a negative value. Anything this cut touches will also be cut (like if a piece happens to go into the other half of the sphere). Then, (unlike other programs), you have to configure a multi-replicating array. (in Cinema 4d, you just click "array"). Most of the things I do are not really meant for Bryce, that's why I do them! The end result is just a simple looking object, that would have been a 5 min job (tops) in Cinema 4d...yet turns out to be an 8 hour job in Bryce. I often go thru the C4D gallery to get ideas, and then say..."I am going to try that in Bryce". Bryce only gives you primitive shapes to work with, and no way to manipulate those shapes. No 'bend', 'twist', 'melt', 'explode'....nothing. No controls over shapes. To make any object in Bryce look any different then just a "cube", requires a lot of work!

Excellent Bryce work!! It certainly is challenging trying to do things, like you say which can be done in a few minutes in other apps, in Bryce. But when you do there is a nice sense of achievement:)
